Escapology is web publication writing about experimental music and promoting unsigned artists.
I contributed branding in addition to designing and building a straightforward chronological layout for the site. Under the surface, a customized Streampad player pulls track information directly from posted audio files and a little jQuery magic displays a featured post, along with an image, right in the sidebar.

I'm interested in designing carefully-crafted portfolios, galleries, and personal playgrounds for musicians, painters, photographers, and other creatives.
My approach is inspired by classic book design, industrial architecture, old maps, vintage subway posters, the track listings on the back of CDs (covers are overrated), and the Sunday paper. My choice tools are traditional grid systems, carefully-selected typography, and a handpicked iTunes playlist.
